From the Pastor – 24 March 2024

Dear brothers and sisters,

1. “Christ was humbler yet, even to accepting death, death on a cross.” (Phil 2:8)

2. What is the Easter Triduum?  Effectively one long Mass, it is the three most important days of the Christian year: Maundy Thursday (with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper), Good Friday (with the Celebration of the Passion of the Lord), Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday (with the Easter Vigil in the Holy Night).

3. Please bring your Aid to the Church in Need donation boxes to Holy Thursday mass, 730pm.

4. Please remember Good Friday is a day of no meat and fasting for those aged 18 to 59, and only of abstinence for those aged 14-17.

5. Our roof is finished and the scaffolding is gone!  Hooray!  Thankyou to everyone who helped us get this critical piece of work done.

6. Following the success of our Exodus program we are forming a Parish Men’s Fraternity.  Why? To give men a place to enjoy being men together, help each other as brothers, and better live God’s call to live authentic manhood: as iron sharpens iron, so does living with brothers make us better brothers.  What is the commitment?  Members of the fraternity will commit to at least 10 minutes of prayer every day, confession once a month, taking up one service in the parish, and a monthly meeting of a meal, formation and prayer.  A number of guys are already keen to start.  Interested men can contact Fr Josh via [email protected].

Yours in Our Lord,
